Bernards is builder on the $140 million redevelopment of Lincoln Place Apartments in the popular Venice district of Los Angeles.
The construction project involves substantial renovation of apartment buildings, the addition of 99 new apartment units, a new leasing center, clubhouse, and an array of amenities.
Built between 1949 and 1951, Lincoln Place is listed on the National and California Registers of Historic Places and was granted historic status in 2005 by California State Historic Resources Commission.
The project will be restored and modernized in accordance with the Secretary of Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties.
Eco-friendly features include energy-efficient lighting and appliances, energy-conserving roofing systems, and high-efficiency water heaters. Landscaping will include 200 new trees and focus on regional plants and an irrigation system designed to conserve water.
